My New Protein Treatment for my Hair

I came across this recipe on the Fokti of a natural head and I decided to try it. The result was great: less breakage and stronger hair. I continue to use this treatment which consists of:
  • coconut milk
  • EVOO
  • egg(s)
  • honey

How often do you plan to do this? I found an egg treatment: egg, conditioner and oils. This looks great. I am just not sure how often I am supposed to use it. Any suggestions. I may try this one instead.

laqt- I think that it all depends on the state of your hair: when you notice breakage, or when you feel your hair is not strong. I always try to remember to balance out moisture/protein, so for me once a week I do a protein treatment followed by moisture conditioning. I am 10 weeks post and I do this treatment to minimize breakage. Or pre-poo w/ a protein treatment/conditioner, shampoo then DC w/ a moisturizing conditioner. HTH
